In this example, lets say the person remembered the business name exactly, but not the web address which is different (www.jc-creative.com) – what do they do?

The business name as a web address does not work, so the next choice is to search for it. In a search engine they put the correct business name; the result? 'JC Creative Solutions' is number one in the results. This is better than in example 1, however the person is still presented with numerous other competitors offering the same services, tempting potential customers away.

Other problems may also arise. For example if you search for 'J.C Creative Solutions' (the difference being the full stop separating 'J' and 'C') the web site does not appear in the search results at all. The reason being something covered earlier - 'Search Engine Optimisation'.

SEO is something which has great depth and can take a long time, and is something which can constantly change to keep it effective.
